The Life Studies group at Sunnybrook meets on Wednesday evenings after worship. They usually start out their group with what they call “best and worst” which entails the best and worst part of your week or what is going on in your life. It’s a great time to vent and also bring praises for the awesome things going on in everyone’s lives. We usually consider the “worst” a prayer concern, and the “best” a praise.
The lesson or study of the evening depends strictly on how the group feels that night. If someone is going thru something, it may be a time for encouragement and help for one another. A devotion is sometimes used to spark a conversation within the group. Other times, we have short videos that guide us thru an informative lesson or study on a topic and challenge our thinking and beliefs at times. We have even had a study on the Andy Griffith show. Occasionally, even adults need a trip out, so well go eat dessert or snacks and fellowship off campus. To sum it up, we just have a great time and honor Christ with what we do.
