Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear to service?

Anything you are comfortable in. We have no dress code and believe God is far more interested in your worship and hearing a Biblical message than what you are wearing. You will find a wide array of styles and outfits on Sunday morning.

Will I be asked to stand up or say anything?

Absolutely not. We will not put you on the spot or single you out in any way. We want our visitors to feel welcome and comfortable.

Am I expected to give during the offering?

No, you are our guest, do not feel obligated to give anything.

What kind of music do you have?

We will use every avenue to praise and worship our Savior. Our services feature a mix of contemporary Christian music and traditional music. We will sometimes put a modern twist on a older traditional hymn. Our worship team does an excellent job of trying to incorporate everyone’s favorite worship music.

Do you have something for my child (pre-K through 5th grade)?

Absolutely! We have a Sunday school class that starts at 10 am. After that we encourage you to enjoy the praise and worship part of the service with your child and during the offering time, Children Church will begin.

Do you have something for my teen (6th grade through 12th grade)?

Yes, our youth program is an awesome place for your teen to not only have fun, but to learn how the Bible applies to their life, be shown support, and make friends who will encourage them in their daily walk with Christ.

I want to visit, but I don’t have transportation, can you pick me up?

We sure can! Please contact us and we will be happy to arrange for transportation. You can email us at info@sunnybrookbristol.org call 423-340-2890.

How can I get involved at Sunnybrook?

The best thing is to talk to our pastor or to a ministry leader. We believe God has given each believer a unique combination of talents, abilities and spiritual gifts. We can use each followers unique gifts in an area of ministry that they feel led to serve and have a passion for. We will look at a believers individual traits and discuss with them where they feel they can best serve, or if a new program or ministry needs to be created. We will not limit people to our churches programs and ministries.

Is your pastor available to talk if I have more questions?

Yes. Our pastor is available to anyone at the church 24/7. You can contact the pastor through phone, e-mail, text, Facebook or just stop by the office, visit the pastor page of this website for all the contact information!
